Freeride lessons focus on technique: stance and turn shape in powder, skiing crud and variable snow, reading terrain. Guiding focuses on finding the best snow of the day and moving safely. We often combine both.
Freeride and touring depend on conditions. We may change the plan or cancel if safety isn’t acceptable. For off-piste you need avalanche equipment (transceiver, shovel, probe) and insurance that covers off-piste skiing. Tell us if you need to rent equipment.
Start with a private ski lesson or private snowboard lesson and work on the technique you’ll need in powder.
